Toot, Toot! It's a New CT Team Blog Train Freebie Celebration.

We are all so excited to be a part of Genia Beana Scrap's CT team, so some new members and some veterans have jumped in to create some 12 by 12 quickpages and some 4 by 6 brag book pages for you with Genia Beana Scraps FABULOUS new kit Happy Go Lucky. One of the zip files even has a special code to get the kit for a discount!

I started out making 12 by 12 quickpages out of the two layouts I had already done with Happy Go Lucky for its release this Wednesday and then I saw Zee's awesome brag book pages that she did in both blue and pink and so I was inspired to create some brag book pages too. Of course I had to do my brag book pages with lots of the yummy purple paper that is in this kit since purple is my favorite color.

Here are the previews of what you will get from my zip file.

Here is the link to snag the quickpages and brag book pages.

Comments are appreciated!

The next stop on the train is Brandi's blog: http://thesearemymoments.blogspot.com

Fantastic New Kit from Genia Bena Scraps!

Today is the release day for the kit I mentioned in my last post from Genia Beana Scraps. The kit is called Happy Go Lucky and it is full of awesome embellishments and yummy papers. I had so much fun playing with this kit. I created two pages, and several of us on Genia Beana's team are going to be doing a blogtrain with either a 12 by 12 quickpage or brag book page to give away on Friday along with a code to get a discount for the kit at the end of the blogtrain. I did two of them based on the layouts that I did for this kit. I'm thrilled to pieces about this kit and my first new release since being on Genia Beana's CT. So without further ado, here is Happy Go Lucky, and it is currently 25% off right now!

Go here to pick up Happy Go Lucky in the store.

There are also so matching Glitter Styles and Glitter Sheets available here.

Here are my two pages that I made. This kit works great for little boys as well as little girls. Not to mention that I LOVE the color purple so this kit just made my day. I made one page using pictures of my little boy and one using a photo my best friend took of her adorable twin girls. Everything is from the FABULOUS new Happy Go Lucky Kit!

So excited!

Well I put in an application to be on the creative team for the amazing Chelle's Creations at ScrapMatters. I didn't get picked for the full time team, but I was so honored that Chelle picked me along with a few others to guest on her CT for one month. I will not be participating until October, but I'm still excited and it gives me something fun to look forward to as well as desigining layouts for the amazing designers I am so blessed to be on CT for on a full-time basis Andilynn Designs, MickeyB Designs, and Genia Beana Scraps.

Genia Beana Scraps has an amazing kit coming out on Wednesday so stay tuned to see a preview as well as a couple layouts I made with this FAB kit! I can't wait until Wednesday gets here to show you how awesome it is!

Hope you all are having an amazing start to your week!

Friday Means New Products at ScrapMatters and a Christmas in July Sale this weekend!

Andilynn has an amazing new Christmas kit that can work for both Christmas and everyday layouts.

Her new kit is called Be Merry

Here are some layouts I did with this kit. Only one of them is a Christmas layout.

Andilynn also has a FAB new wordart set for Christmas and I made a card using the Be Merry kit and the word art.

Word Matters: Traditional Christmas

Here is the card I made using Andilynn Designs two new awesome products.

As promised from my last post, the amazing MickeyB Designs has a new collaboration kit with the fab Man in the Moon Designs. They put together the most AWESOME summer, water, and bubbles layout kit. I am just in love with it, since I have a ton of water photos each summer. It works great for everyday photos too!

The kit is called Sprinkler Party.

Here are some layouts I did using this awesome new kit!

Jessica Sprague Day 12

Today the lesson was on creating a storyboard of three pictures. I used three pictures that I got last weekend of Brant playing in the sprinkler. I've already scrapped some of these pictures using the amazing kit by MickeyB Designs that I will post about next since it comes out today (Friday).

Here is the storyboard I created.

Jessica Sprague Class Day 11

Today's class was about selective recoloring. I have done this some before but didn't think about going back and adding contrast and adjusting other settings like we were taught today so I think my pictures will now come out better when I use this method.

Here is my original picture.

Here is the after picture where I only left the sprinkler in color.

Jessica Sprague Class Day 10

Today's lesson was putting everything we learned so far together in one project. We took a photo and we used a rounded square clipping mask, added a png overlay, typed on the overlay, added textures, and burned the edges of the photo. I used one of my pictures of the Hoover Dam from the first time I went to Vegas a few years ago.

Here is the original.

Here is the end results after adding everything from the project today.

Jessica Sprague Class Day 9

Well today's lesson was all about edge burning. We used levels and the gradient tool to burn the edges of our photo to draw the eye toward the center. This is such an awesome effect!

Here is the original photo.

Here is the photo with the burned edge effect.

Jessica Sprague Class Days 7 and 8

Well day seven was just a review to go over terms, and there was no extra lesson or assignment to post so that helped me to catch up to today's lesson day eight! I'm so excited to be caught up now and hopefully I can stay caught up. Today's lesson was on type or text on your photo, so I added some words to the photo, then I added some things from previous lessons a texture, and a brush along with my words.

Here is the original photo of my sister and my little boy.

Here is the new photo with text, texture, and a brush added on.

Jessica Sprague Class Day 6

Today was all about TTV which I had never heard about until this class. It is looking through the view finder photos. I used both an awesome fake TTV by Nasos3 at Flickr found here, and some of the textures from Flickr from the previous class lesson on my photo this time.

Here is my original of a yummy mimosa I had at New Years several years ago.

Here is the photo with the awesome TTV, a brown bag texture, and a grungy texture.

Jessica Sprague Class Day 5

Day five is all about using textures. This is definitely something that is new to me, but I love the results that they can bring. I need to play with this more often and try to get out of my comfort zone.

Here is the original picture.

Here is the pictures with three different textures added on and with different blending modes.

Here is the photo with a png frame added on for the project for this class.

Jessica Sprague Class Day 4

This lesson was on using a photo mask, which I already knew how to do but we got an awesome mask to use so that was well worth it!

Here is my masked photo.

Jessica Sprague Class Day 3

For this lesson we learned how to use blending modes to make a picture look more antique or vintage looking. Then we added the stuff we learned in the last two classes and put them together to add a frame and add a star brush.

Here is the original taken by the mall photographers when he went to see Santa this year.

Here is the end result. I changed the frame to white since the picture was so dark black didn't show up well.

Jessica Sprague Class Day 2

For the second lesson we had to add some brushes that were more like a stamp to our photo.

Here is what I did.

Jessica Sprague Class Day 1

Well the Jessica Sprague class Frame-ups and Special Effects that I signed up for started up right when I was getting ready to leave town so now I have some catching up to do they are already up to day 6 and I just got started today. Oh well, it gives me a challenge.

For our first lesson we had to add a png frame, and add word art to a photo.

Here is what I did.

So glad to be back!

Well I just got back on Friday from an awesome trip to Las Vegas with just my husband while my parents stayed home with Brant! We had a great time and I came back to find out that two of the designers I CT for are having new kits come out at ScrapMatters this coming Friday! One is an awesome one for all those water pictures you have, and the other is a fab Christmas kit for the Christmas in July sale ScrapMatters is having next weekend. I haven't posted any layouts lately due to being busy getting everything done before my trip. Here are some of the layouts I've done since I last posted. I've done a bunch with Genia Beana's awesome kits, and I have three ready for each of the two new kits from Andilynn and MickeyB to show you once they are released this Friday and I'm sure you will want to run and grab them both up! The last two are for the two speed scraps I did once I got home on Friday and one last night.
